Driver's Licence 

If you already have a driver’s licence in your home country, it will be valid for 60 days after you arrive. After the first 60 days, you will need to take an Ontario driving test to keep your licence.

• When you apply for your Ontario Driver’s License, you will need to go to the DriveTest Centre, located at the North Bay Mall:

• You must show a translated copy of your driver’s licence from your home country, you must pass a vision test and you must pass a written test to demonstrate that you understand all of the traffic rules in Ontario.
• Whether you are applying to change your driver’s licence from your home country to an Ontario licence, or applying for a licence for the first time, you will need to show proof of identity.
